They might have known each other, it was not that settled. John Barclay arrived about 1853 but before that I do not know how he got there. He is a tough one to research. He had abt 13 kids and ended up near Pelican Rapids/Lake Lida. I have connections to Kellers, Gallatin County etc also.
Perhaps your John and my Anton knew each other.
